  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Starting in two weeks!

Hi all,

I thought I would post here now as I am officially a student again. I am commencing a Bachelor of Nursing in two weeks. Although we have orientation next week which I am looking forward to.

It has been a little while since I have studied so I am not sure how to go about it...any tips would be great!

Thanks

Hey, congrats! That sounds exciting.

Study tips? Humm... one thing that helps me is littering books with bookmarks and highliting, also re-writing things in my own words really helps. I do all that stuff when I'm studying for flight tests and really makes a big difference.

definitly remember to pace yourself, especially if you have work.... cause if you have hard classes, a lot of reading, and work it is going to be hard unless you make a schedule.

try to pace yourself in reading, classes, doing papers and studying for test... it is not good to procrastinate, especially if your in nursing.. i have heard/have friends that say while it is such a good major it is a really hard and challenging one. And highlighting helps me.. but underlining or taking notes helps too, especially if test material comes from the book... also take good notes in class.

i guess thats it.. good luck and i hope everything works out great for you!
