starting a band?

Well guys... here's how it is... I've always had this dream of having a rock band... i'm a vocalist... play violin and am tring to learn guitar. Yea, I REALLY want to start a band... but here's the problem: I don't have or know of anyone to start one with! First of all, I am home schooled (no I'm NOT weird, just a normal guy who does school at home instead of a building... NOT WEIRD! be cool with that! not really my choice) so have really no firends in school to start one with and people at my PE group, well don't think about it. Then at church, no one plays instruments or really are that firendly to start a band with... they all play too many sports! The only guy is beginning bass and he just thinks so much of himself and is hard to get along with sometimes (not being critical, just talking). And no one else I can think of... there. So any suggestions of what I could possibly do... I write! I have no clue where to begin... PLEASE HELP! PLEASE!

Well, the first thing would be to work on yourself to get to a level where you are comfortable with what you're playing and it sounds good. After that, start advertising in churches, maybe the local music store.. pretty much anywhere you can.
