  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How many fans we got here? I love SG-1 and Atlantis (I turn it off at Battlestar Galactica...that show puts me to sleep...political drama..gag)

Anyway..REALLY enjoying the new seasons..probably one of my favorite seasons for each show.

It's interesting how different people view things. My hubby and I watch SG-1 and we actually lost a lot of interest this season, it just wasn't up to par with us. I think we both missed some of the character interaction, and for me (not him) the constant flipping back and forth (during some episodes) between timelines gave me a headache. It's an interesting way to tell a story, but it was over used this season. We also think there's a big hole now that Richard Dean Anderson is gone.

It's funny though, my hubby and I love Battlestar (great plots, great character development and interaction, etc), so I guess it's true what they say about different strokes for different folks! :D

I like Stargate SG1 but I like Atlantis better and I've never forgiven the BattleStar Galactica people for making Starbuck a girl, so I don't watch it. Oh well.
For me..starbuck being a girl wasn't so bad...but BSG is just plain boring. It's all political drama, a little action and a lot of sex.

But man..Season 10 for Stargate is gonna be freakin sweet. We have TONS of storyarcs going on now.
