Last Friday started the new season. I'm going to try to watch it more. It's just that it's on Sci-Fi, and I can't tell when it's going to be on from week to week like you can with the regular networks.

Looking very forward to the premier of Star Gate Atlantis. Always been a bit fascinated with Atlantis. Saw the clips from it...looks like it will be a beautiful set...hope the acting is good. We'll soon see.

Very big Stargate fan. Love Jack O'Neil to death. They have had some amazingly funny episodes over the years. Not sure how I feel about him getting promoted and being in charge. But I have a feeling before long he'll be back gatehopping.

I LOVE Stargate. I was gone last week camping so I missed the first Atlantis episode. I whined to my Dad all day. Hes a stargate fan too.

Stargate is on monday through friday at 3:00. Each monday is a stargate mini-marathon, so Stargate runs from 3:00 to 8:00.

I can't wait for Stargate Atlantis. It's just too good!

They should make a second stargate movie, that would be completely awesome!

I don't get Sci Fi, but my dad does. He saw the first two 2-hour specials. He said it's absolutely awesome. Well, my dad's a sci fi geek, so I guess I trust 'im.

Stargate Atlantis was pretty good. I just kept on thinking several things though while watching the first episode.

#1. Why did they not tell the Asgard that they found Atlantis and that they would like some help trying to get there. The Asgard ships have no trouble going from galaxy to galaxy, and they owe Earth big time after finally finding a weapon to defeat the replicators from O'Neill. In the SG-1 season 8 premier, Thor says that even after studying the ancient technology for thousands of years that they have barely scratched the surface. So what makes the humans think that they can do it better? Why not ask for the asgards help. that would have been cool to have a few little grey dudes on the atlantis shows as regulars.

#2. How on earth did the wraith ever defeat the ancients? Sure at moments they looked pretty formidable, but when we put a few bullets in them they seemed to drop like flies. The one guy put that spear through that redheaded wraith and she died. makes no sense to me.

I was thinking that same thing. The ancients are extremely powerful but destroyed by some wraiths... Maybe as the show goes on it will explain it better.

They didn't really have any ships, IIRC.

The Asgard would never invent a weapon that propels small weights of iron and carbon alloys, by igniting a powder of potassium nitrate, charcoal and sulphur.

That could be it. The Ancients might probably did not use gunpowder either.
