I don't think that is the primary goal. Mindless obedience especially is not the goal, although insofar as the relationship is a legal one, this would be sufficient.
The primary goal is to become friends with God, to develop a loving relationship with him.
Obeying him is not the goal, but the means to the goal.

The goal itself is to be in love with God.

then why was the gospel juxtapoed to the law, in gal 3:9-3:10?

blessed with Abe in the gospel, cursed under law in 3:10.

interesting post, from a jew right here on the forum..about messianic Judaism, gentiles trying to act like jews..

Messianic Christians are another issue.

First, they insist on calling their faith "Messianic Judaism", when it's beliefs are

inappropriate way of worshipping, as considered by Judaism. They insist
they are following Torah and the faith of Jesus, but they copy so much of
Jewish customs and culture that either were not in existence at the time,

It's embarrasing when gentiles see these Messianics and assume that they are
Jews...it happens a lot, and I cringe every time.

Messianics as a whole absolutely refuse to be called "Christian" even though
they hold the faith of Christianity at their core. They also claim Jews are not following
true Judaism, that we follow man made law (yet they also follow a lot of rabbinical
law, while at the same time decrying it), that we can't understand our own bible.
Now, I know this is painting all Messianics with a broad brush, but I have seen it
over and over.

Guess you can tell I am not a big fan of the Messianic faith, eh?

Now, as far as Messianics or Christians observing Saturday as sabbath, rather than
Sunday, I don't have a problem with it at all...what I do have a problem with is
the method of observance...copying Jews.

Doing stuff seems to be the preferable alternative to direct relationship from at least Mt. Sinai to the seven hills.
Shows up in chptr24, at least as a topic if not personaly, Abe wanting a wife for Isaac. Then at the end of the chapter he arrives to meet the chosen fiance.
