lol--whatever I want!3toraiseup said:Shannon, what do you eat on St Joseph's Day?
It isn't a feast--it's an optional memorial...RhetorTheo said:I wonder why this feast day isn't moved outside of Lent?

We always treat Solemnities as Sundays...there's another one the next Sat on the 25th--which is also a special day for me personally- as it is my consecration renewal day. It's nice there in the Middle of Lent--keeps ya' going....
Thanks! I have a bunch of St. specific recipies- but with most of my family not eating ANYTHING...it's easier to just grill up a slab of salmon or something!3toraiseup said:I asked because my husband's family has special foods that they prepare for St Joseph's Day. Traditional Italian Breads, cookies and entrees that are made just for St Joseph's Day that aren't generally made the rest of the year.
Here are a few recipes like what they cook:

Awww, I'm sorry for your pain....3toraiseup said:This makes me miss living by family... two years ago, we had an Uncle die at the same time as St Joseph's Day. I remember sitting around the kitchen eating up all of the St Joseph's pastries along with the funeral food.![]()
