I love Handel's "Messiah" as do many others, I'm sure. It's just such a powerful piece. When I was in high school chorus we would always sing it last at out Christmas show. Every time it gave me goosebumps and would bring me to tears. It still does even though I'm not performing it. My pastor said that he read about a Jewish conductor coming to know Jesus as Savior because of that song. I believe that it had to have been inspired by God, and it definatly inspires me.

I like both of these works as well! Another one that I was just introduced to, but not necessarily familiar with is "The Creation" / Die Schopfung (in German) by Haydn. It was extremely interesting for a Haydn work, but the point of it was extremely clear! There was also one that the we had at our state music clinic for orchestra/choir/and organ. I can NOT think of it now to save my life, but I will get back to you as soon as I figure it out! Thanks! God Bless!
