The game with the black & white ball is called 'soccer'! Futbol is it's 'latin' name. Rugby is also called 'foot ball' in some countries though.

yes the footb.. uh "soccer' world cup. Greece and turkey had a spectacular match a few weeks ago that ended in a 0 0 tie.

So, which kind of football are you talking about, Kolya? The kind played with a round ball and shinguards, an oblong ball and inordinant amounts of armour, or the kind played with no armour and a slightly larger oblong ball?

(By the way, the last one's the best, even though I don't really understand it...)

SPURS WON!!! Woohoo!

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of them, but I'm too from San Antonio! So, GO SPURS GO! The whole city is black and white!

And I got my DRIVER'S LICENCE today!!! Woohoo!

Good morning, peeps. Today is Andy's birthday party. Even though we practically begged for RSVPs on the invite, practically no one bothered, so we have no idea if we'll have 2 kids there, or 12. I hope for Andy's sake that it's a lot--he's so excited.

You know, I've never thrown a birthday "party" for my kids. I wonder if, now that they're getting older, if they'll start asking for actual parties. I've usually always just taken them somewhere special ( like a theme park or the beach or smth) instead.

I think this was probably the last "party" we'll throw for a while. Only one child showed up. Andy didn't notice, thank God. He and his little friend had fun, and we shared the cake with everyone at the pool.

For his actual birthday next Friday, we'll probably have our neighbors over--they have two little girls our boys' ages, and we all get along really well. They were out of town today, else they'd have been at the party.

You know, I'm really tired of this neighborhood. All these kids hang out in my yard and talk with their big attitudes and nasty language. One of them punched Noah in the eye today, and my driveway is still stained with the shoe polish that one kid wrote out "Noah is Dumb" in huge letters with. I want out of here so badly. I can't even walk to take the trash to the dumpster without some inappropriate comments being made about my backside.

And you know, I would say something to the landlord, but unfortunately the kids the are the biggest problem are her relatives.
