  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i think she's really pretty plus she's got nice clothes all the time. a shallow observation, i know but i also idolized angelina jolie when i was in the 6th grade.

Gotcha, I think it's the word idol that threw me off. You just think she's pretty. Idol has a totally different meaning for me.

LOL! I had a crush on Fred Savage during his "The Wonder Years" era. But I had a lot of strange crushes...like Axel Rose and Duff McKagan during The Appetite for Destruction days. And of course, Bon Jovi and also C.C. Deville from Poison.

lolz! i had a huge crush on Nick Carter in the Backstreet Boys days. i remember telling my mom i was going to marry him when i grow up.

Yeah I ended up liking that song myself
It brings back some rather "difficult" memories as she ran away from us when she was 13 while we were vacationing in Seattle, Wash. in '95 [as a birthday present for her] to celebrate C. Cobain's birthday.

Didn't realize until later that city was one of the runaway capitals in the US at that time.
We spent 3 days looking for her and ended up driving back to Texas w/o her.
We finally heard from her 13 days later and got her back home. Praise God!

BTW, I've chilled out a lot in my old age. LOL Though, it is not unusual for me to pop in some harder music when the kids aren't in the car. I mostly listen to indie music now. I became a very devoted fan to a band called Elbow several years ago. I just love them. They haven't made a song yet that I don't like. And I never get tired of them. Their lyrics are intelligent and meaningful, which is such an admirable thing nowadays since so much music is manufactured and fake.
