I guess it would be funny to someone who has no respect for others. What ever happened to treating others as you would have them treat you? Does that mean I can drive by you and waterballoon you all in the name of my own fun?

Momzilla! Here's the recipe!

Kibbee
2 cups fine bulghur
1 medium onion
1 1/2 teaspoons kibbee spice (below)
5 teaspoons salt
2 lbs. finely ground beef or lamb
(I used 80/20 ground beef)

Kibbee Spice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tbsp. dried mint, crushed
1 1/2 tsp. pepper

Rinse the bulghur twice in cold water, drain and cover to 1/2 inch with fresh water to soak. Grind the onion in a blender or food processor until fine, add kibbee spice and salt, stir to blend. Add the mixture to the ground meat and knead thoroughly by hand.
Squeeze any unabsorbed water from the bulghur and add the wheat to the meat. Knead until well blended, adding ice water as necessary to keep a very soft consistency.

Preheat oven to 450.

In a large baking dish, fill with about 1/4 inch vegetable oil.

Place Kibbee patties (about the size of your palm, and an inch thick) in the baking pan, turn the oven up to 500, and "bake fry" the kibbee patties until they are brown and crisp on the outside. Keep a close watch on them, and flip them when they've reached a desired crispness (not burned, but brown!)

As Greg indicated, they can be fried as well.

Just an update. They told my friend they were going to call me for an interview. Then they have not done it. She says if they were going to they should have by now.

So, I think this was not meant to be.

Gah, I'm such an idiot. I needed to go to the health center this morning but I couldn't find a paper I needed for it. I spent all morning turning my house upside down looking for it--praying to every saint I can think of--before finally giving up and calling to reschedule. Not a second after I hung up, I found the paper SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF MY COUCH. My forehead's getting a lot of slapping this morning.

I do that too. Once I also misplaced a jar of mayonnaise... luckily it hadn't been opened, or else that would have made it easy to find by smell.

I sutudied a bit of Sindarin by myself some years ago, after I had read LOTR for the first time. But unfortunately I didn't have anyone to practice with, so I gave up.

I still remember some words, though.

I got my mom one of those Sharper Image sets, that has a few tag that you attach to keys and small things that you lose easily and a remote crontrol that you press a button to make the tags beep. They are a pretty good investment for 40 something dollars
