  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Boy... it's really hard to say. I've read so many conflicting things on this subject.

Some women never spot Ever. Others spot when the fertilized egg implants, which could be a day or so after ovulation all the way for another week... Others spot later, when the fertilized egg is starting to form what will become the placenta (in fact, some women see a 'thread' in the spotting, which is one of the "feelers" on the outside of the egg. It looks like a child's Koosh ball with all those stringy things hanging off it. These stringy things burrow into the uterine lining and sometimes cause a little spotting. The placenta ends up being fully developed around 6 weeks along.)

Sorry, I'm probably not much help....

I had spotting that lasted a day or two every month for about 4 months (when I would usually have my period). It eventually went away.
I actually didn't know I was pregnant for quite a few months because I thought I was having my period.

I know women have some spotting and cramping that occurs when the egg is implanting-I think about a week after conception.

With my first pregnancy, I had a normal period(3 days, about 8 pads a day) and then I began miscarrying at week. :(

With this pregnancy, I took a run to walmart for pads because it was the day I should have started and I had the slighest bit of red on my pantyliner. I never used any of those pads and they are still sitting under my sink. :)

Are you sure about that? I thought it's only at the end of the 1st trimester that the placenta is fully formed? But this is my first pregnancy and I'm learning a LOT so I'm not sure at all!

Ok, I just looked it up again and I was a little off... by 10 weeks the placenta is fully formed and can cover 1/3 of the interior of the uterine wall. (Before that, the baby lives off the egg sac that surrounds it.)
:)
