We emit quite a bit of infrared light, which isn't visible, but it shouldn't be surprising that we can emit trace amounts of visible light. And some time after we die, that infrared light goes away because the light is generated due to biologic processes that stop after we die.

Or according to this when we are not well
The infrared light doesn't go away when we're not well. And the article actually implies that cells may be prone to generating visible light when stressed. That is, not well.

Right now, I have not read any biophotonics experiments conducted on humans, so I actually cannot conclude that we're absorbing light. Only rats do that, apparently. The corroborating plant data and the fact that this vanished on death indicates that they are probably on to something and they weren't just measuring the reflective properties of fur. Having a device to "see" this light could be useful (or amusing) for gardening applications.

However, spiritually, I would actually expect fallen human bodies to be black holes in terms of emitting visible light, since the sinful nature of them would make them a source of darkness rather than light. Accepting the Gospel doesn't repair our bodies (yet) and so all human bodies would be consistently bad.

Having the Holy Spirit inside these fallen bodies could ironically contribute to higher levels of oxidative stress, or stress in general which could ironically give the bodies of believers in Christ more light emitting potential than unbelievers.

Except that we all share the same life force, the fuel our bodies run on.
Do I eat the same food as a rat?

Genesis 2:7 could be used to make the argument that humans have different life force than beasts.

Technically, we don't "know" anything scientifically until they put whatever device they used to see the light coming out of the rats and leaves next to a human hand or foot and figure it out. It's probably a spiritual blue chip though, has no reflection on our spiritual condition.
