Ausiello: The juiciest! A new female character will be introduced later this season, and get this: According to exec producer Carlton Cuse, "She does not appear in a flashback, she is not an Other, and she is not one of the survivors of Flight 815." What does that leave? You tell me!

So.... yeah, what does that leave??

Another island dweller we haven't seen before maybe?

I think it is Alex. She hasn't been in a flashback, she isn't really an Other, and she wasn't on Flight 815.

It's pretty rare we see off-island people that aren't in flashbacks. I haven't really considered that to be a possibility, although like the Penny/submarine set-up at the end of last season, it could happen. I'm more inclined to think it's someone on the island though.

ORRRRRR - This just hit me - The others are working on fertility treatments of some kind, right? Perhaps a baby girl! She wouldn't necessarily be classified as an Other.

Hmmm...based on the actresses photo...I'd argue for the wife of the `real' Henry Gale.

Aside from that, for an uncharted island, this place certainly gets its share of visitors. Over the past couple decades, we've had:

16 years ago - Danielles expedition (one confirmed survivor)
5? years ago - Drug Smugglers plane (no survivors)
3 years ago - Desmonds shipwreck (one survivor)
6? months ago - Henry Gales Ballon (survivor?)
3 months ago - Flight 815

Given all this, the possibility of another wreck of some sort, complete with survivors, cannot be ruled out.

At least a few of those can probably be attributed to someone missing the time on pushing the button. Others, though, like the balloon and Desmond's boat, I can't figure out how/why they got to the island.
