Hello my single and fabulous brothers and sisters in Christ Most of you do not know this little factoid about me...I have a purse fetish. I have over 40 handbags and I continue to sew my own and buy more. I was at the mall last week and I saw the most fabulous bag (see below). Only thing is, it's over $100. I'm going to save up some money from my next few paychecks to buy it.

So, singles, are you saving your money for a articular "splurge" item? Something you really don't need but you really want. Please share.

I'm not a big shopper, and if I'm going to "splurge" on something, any money says it will be a new harmonica. Right now, I'm slowly saving for a chromatic harmonica (one with all the sharps and flats as well as the normal major scale), but I probably won't be able to afford one for a while. But I'm keeping a lustful eye upon a Bob Meehan specially modified Marine Band, I want to get a few of those one day, especially in the key of C, A or G, that is when I get good at playing my non modified Marine Band. And the specially modified ones are about $100US. So we both have expensive, seemingly insignificant purchases in our sights msjones.

Like stray bullet, college limits the money I spend, but I'm out in the world next year, and I can buy all the harmonicas I want! Mwahahahaha!!

No splurging here (at least not for a while), but until the Lord sends me a godly wife to help me mend my ways, I'm spending her food budget on my pizza habit (intermixed with the occasional gourmet meal out)!

...and I may get the yard xeriscaped this summer.

Q. 2. How doth it appear that there is a God?
A. The very light of nature in man, and the works of God, declare plainly that there is a God;[3] but his word and Spirit only do sufficiently and effectually reveal him unto men for their salvation.[4]

[3] Romans 1:19-20. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Acts 17:28. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. See Psalm 19:1-3.

[4] 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 1:20-21. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 2 Timothy 3:15-17. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. See Isaiah 59:21.

Yeah, serves her right for taking her sweet time getting there!

I hope you find the woman you are meant to be with soon Keil. You just strike me as an honest and kind gentleman from reading your posts, there's not many of us around anymore.

that is hilarious. just be careful not to eat TOO much pizza, as you want your arteries to last long enough to enjoy your wife for many years.

I'll have you know that I recently heard that Italian food was researched and found to be a hedge against cancer - hence pizza _must_ be healthy!
(It does get a little old, but as a side benefit, I can now tell you how well pizza lasts - in the fridge with no wrapping vs with wrapping vs in the box vs wrapped in foil vs turning to penicillin...)

The last time the cholesterol was checked it was doing great - I must be doing something right, though I couldn't tell you for the life of me what it is! Maybe the doses of Dr. Pepper eat it away...

I have and 84 F150 4x4, that is my "hobby". I just added a Holley 390, offenhauser intake, and flow master exhaust on a 300 six!!

I am currently buying parts to raise the front 2" so it sets level.

So yeah, I've spent more money in parts than the actual truck is worth, but I like it!!

Hmmm... I splurged and bought a Waterford lamp to share with my mom, for Christmas... it was 1/2 off, which NEVER ever happens. And now I shall not be splurging on anything for a long, long time LOL.

ooh though I did buy 5 rose bushes last week, in a moment of weakness.
