Good day in Christ Jesus. I am delving on "body, soul and spirit" (trying to work out the difference between them) and I felt like to share about four words: "spirit", "water", "blood" and "bread". Tomorrow we will finalize the study about "What is necessary to be saved" (with the permission of Jesus).
● "And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one." (1 John 5:8).
"Spirit" - This word comes from the word "breath" and appoint to how the Holy Spirt work in us. He inspire us (see Job 32.8) blowing His words, leading us to the right path to follow (which we ought to HEARD in order not to have our hearts hardened (see Zechariah 7.11,12).
"Water" - When we put Jesus' words into PRACTICE through the communion with His Bride (John 13.10), our soul is clean.
"Blood" - this is our true drink (John 6.51-57) that purify our conscience of dead works to serve the living God (Hebrews 9.14). How does Jesus do this? When we RECEIVE His words in us (James 1.21), He enables (with gift and talents) and fill us of encouragement to live the "life style" that He lived here (see Phil 2.12,13).
The union of these three faculties (heard, receive and practice) will enable us to impart testimony of Jesus in these world.
But, considering that the Holy Spirit make us to recall of what Jesus taught us (John 16.13), we need to MEDITATE day and night in the Holy Scripture (Psalms 1.1,2).
"Bread" - our true food, namely, the comprehension of Jesus' words that we procure when we share material and spiritual things with the Body of Christ (Acts 2.45,46; 4.32-35).
So, have a good weekend abiding by this in Christ Jesus.
