  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Those are some good westerns. They were some of the first to include Mexican characters, which American westerns pretty much ignored. Clint Eastwood's and Lee Van Cleef's characters are some of the most memorable in the history of westerns. However, my favorite Clint Eastwood western is Pale Rider.

I almost bought Pale Rider today. I got Dirty Harry and Josie Wales instead though.

I have no clue what you are talking about. But, generally I hate westerns and all their stereo types.
The Clint Eastwood, man with no name spagetti westerns are movies with an American star, an Italian director and supporting cast and that were filmed in Spain. :p

Some people use the term "Spaghetti Western" to refer to any western film made in Europe in the '60s and '70s. Others just use the term to refer to the three most famous of this genre, "A Fistful of Dollars," "For a Few Dollars More," and "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly." This triolgy starred an obscure tv actor, Clint Eastwood, as a new kind of western hero, the anti-hero driven only by money and nothing else.
