our ethics come from the Bible, the Sacred Traditions of the Church, that means the teachings that have been handed down since the begining of christianity
also, many early christian theologians and philospers believed in Natural Law, that some things can be understood by logic and reason and apply to everyone, non-christians understand that murder is bad and it is reasonable to hold them to that standared
