The Foundation. The Prophets and the Apostles with Jesus Christ of Nazareth as the Chief Cornerstone. The only way to recognize this " sound doctrine " is through His Holy Spirit. When one reads the Gospel with His lens, one does not add a theological twist to His words. Denominations do not have the purity of His Gospel because they are institutions invented by men who do not do the will of The Father. BlessingsWho has the pure sound doctrine according to you?

Under the umbrella of "Protestantism" there are all kinds of beliefs and practices. Even taking a particular protestant denomination, we cannot say, "That denomination has sound doctrine." Take Baptists, for instance. Each local Baptist church is autonomous. Here in the UK, some local Baptist churches stick firmly to the bible, and some don't. I am sure the same is true of most groupings of churches.Who has the pure sound doctrine according to you?

What is it, then?Under the umbrella of "Protestantism" there are all kinds of beliefs and practices. What is what? Protestantism? If that is what you meant, it's a term used to cover all churches and groups of churches that grew out of the Reformation. Sorry if that is not what you meant. What is it, then?
I've read 4 of your answers and you go around in circles. Don't take it as an attack. What is what? Protestantism? If that is what you meant, it's a term used to cover all churches and groups of churches that grew out of the Reformation. Sorry if that is not what you meant.
I don't take it is an attack. I just apologise if I have been going round in circles. That has never been my intention. Without wishing to derail this thread, can you give me an example of the sort of thing you mean, so that I can avoid doing the same thing in the future? Thanks.I've read 4 of your answers and you go around in circles. Don't take it as an attack.
Tell me what church you choose and why that congregation meets the requirements to have the sound doctrine.I don't take it is an attack. I just apologise if I have been going round in circles. I would try to choose a church that bases its teachings, preaching, worship, and other activities firmly on God's Word, the bible. That meets the requirements because, as the bible itself says:Tell me what church you choose and why that congregation meets the requirements to have the sound doctrine.

...and make sure that the church they join (the local church - I'm not talking about denominations) is one which bases its preaching, worship, evangelism and activities on the Word of God.People need to seriously study the Word of God for themselves and quit being spoon fed by their churches.
Many can give you many interpretations of "the word of God"...and make sure that the church they join (the local church - I'm not talking about denominations) is one which bases its preaching, worship, evangelism and activities on the Word of God.
Not to say anything against any Christian Church but as long as God gives his Holy Spirit to those of a church, they are acceptable to God and we should not argue amongst ourselves but accept each other as brethren in Christ Jesus.Who has the pure sound doctrine according to you?
