Has anyone played Soul Calibur 2 on the console platforms, and compared that to Soul Calibur 1 on the dream cast.

I played the arcade version of SC2, there were a lot of improvements, but the feel to it, and the smoothness of the moves of SC1 is not preserved in SC2.

But for those who are on a console platform like xbox, ps2 or cube, could you indicate whether it's worth buying a console for this game, assuming it's as smooth as the SC1 on dreamcast.

I know that after SC2 was released in the arcades, most people went back to their dreamcasts in Australia to play SC1.

And also, I'm one of those people that bought the dreamcast just for SC1. And it's the only arcade game I play these days....

SC 1 is still better than 2 - they tried to improve it - but because it was so good in the first place - they had a lot to live up to.
Well they should have just improved graphics and added more moves in, rather than the whole animation and movement of the characters.

And it's so hard to see talim's moves, plus the deflection is so flawed, times I dont think i'll deflect, i do, and at times I swear I should have deflected ..it dosen't.
I thought it was the timing but it turns out it's just some bugged up deflection thing they tried to improve.

SC1 the moves feel contineous, SC2, it feels very discrete, despite the animations.
