The whole industry is soooooooo beyond sickening! Before my son came along I was involved with Amnesty International to help stop human trafficking. I have to admit I learned more than I ever wanted to know about what goes on. It literally makes me ill. I can barely read about it without feeling very, very sick to my stomach!

It really sickens me to know that my own father "purchased" a "mail order bride" from Asia after he left my mom. This world has become so beyond evil. Right now I have the Los Lobos song, "How Far is Heaven?" playing. I am with you Paula, it couldn't be too soon for me!

That's so wonderful that you devoted time to such a noble organisation, Blondielashes. Yes, the whole thing makes me feel ill also. I also recently happened to find someone closely associated with my would-be abductor on myspace and it infuriated me. I would report him to myspace but I have no concrete evidence against him. I am sure he is using myspace for criminal reasons. I did report these guys to the federal authorities since the local police did nothing, so hopefully someday something will happen. I really had no idea how dangerous it is to be a sex worker in any capacity. That is what Annie Bissell drove home in her recent interview. Once you sign up with these people, you are no longer human in their eyes, she said - you are a thing to be used and discarded/killed. According to her, trafficking is alive and well in the US much more than we realize.

I wish I could have continued to do more with Amnesty International, but I seriously just don't have the time between caring for my son and trying to get myself mentally and spiritually well.

It is interesting that you mention that you came across your "would be captor" on myspace....I had a similar experience.

Myspace is a well know pimp recluiting tool. That is why I avoid it althogether, In fact is blocked in my computer. When I got to see it if from a loaned computer.

See for example the porn agents, many of whom are known rapists and sexual predators (Isabelle was raped by one, so was Sophia Lynn) who also pimp the porn girls not only into porn movies but also into escorting. All of them recluit heavely in Myspace. Just look at their sites. And Myspace has not done the slightest effort to clear that up. That is why I use only Facebook.

That is total news to me, Resoto! I am horrified. This is no doubt what the man I know is doing - recruiting prostitutes. That is too bad - myspace has some great Christians on it whom I have met, including SOSI's.

I hope you noticed the recent www.worldnetdaily.com articles regarding Wikipedia. They are getting busted for promoting porn, so your prayers have been answered!

Just go the porn companies profiles in Myspace, the porn actresses profiles or look for the porn Modeling agencies to see what I'm talking about. I guess the real conservatives need a talk with mister Rupert Murdoch.

About Wikipedia. I advise to InTheFlesh or Isabelle once they leave porn to get their profiles deleted. The former Sierra Sinn seen to has done that.
But there is another treat. The Internet Movie Database who convers all film and is very useful for mainstream films has also a porn filmography and sometimes the real name of the actresses. I discovered when I put on Sunday the name of a actress Shelley Lubben is now helping out and her real name was next to the porn name.
And Wikipedia not only has porn actress bios but also complete decription of the sex acts done in porn film. There are some I never imagined! Of course all of that seems to have been written by fanboys. For example no mention of the negative aspects of sex work to the mental health of the performers, especially the females.

I have read that Murdoch is more of an opportunist than a right winger, and I tend to agree.

Well, Resoto, you will be happy to know that I contacted myspace about this problem of people setting up profiles to recruit prostitutes, so we'll see what they say. I asked them what they are doing to address this problem. Ever since I found out about that guy I know who has a myspace page, I have not been pleased.

And yes Mr Murdoch is a oportunists. He set up conservative media not becasue he is a conservative but becasue the media is so left wing that leaved him a market niche to exploit.

I believe Court might have a worse horror story about Myspace and pimps.
Pimps playing SOSI Christian friends. But PM her for the details they are not for a open forum. Paula and I took hand on the task to email the SOSIs to warn them about. But to warn people, he basically attached to a SOSI activist and a well know internet journalist who covers the sex industry Myspaces friends list posing as a Christian life coach.
That led me to think that:
1. He is not cured and repentant. If he is really cured he never do that, get close to type of women he used to exploit and victimize. The tempation is too high.
2. That well know SOSI activist and the internet journalist do have lot of friends in the sex industry, is their job even if they do not like the industry per se. But posing as a Christian Life Coach? Come on!

BTW, I think some pimps can genunely repent and being saved. But for a former pimp to be around vulnerable women is like a recovering pedophile to be around kids or for a former druggie to be around drugs. The tempation for a fall would be too high.
True repentant pimp or pedophile would never accept a job were he can fall into temptation again.
Many christians commit the mistake that people can get fully cured of those behaviors. Some do, most do not, in the better of cases they learn to cope, control and suppress them.

The person I know on myspace poses as a "talent agent" in the music industry who was a regular at the club I worked at in Hollywood. How cliche, right? He had me fooled for a while, but then I asked myself, why was he nearly every day at my club, clearly wealthy but not representing any successful well known music talent? He was always inviting the dancers to his house to socialize, including me, but as divine providence would have it, I never made it to his house. He sure tried to get me into his world though. It shows how unless you're really wary and street smart, these predators will ensnare you using ANYTHING to fool you.

I go back and forth in my head as to his "repentance". I must err on the side of caution though and as resoto said if he was truly repentant he wouldn't be placing himself right back in the line of fire so to speak.

I believe that God was protecting me as well as my guardian angel form the many times I could have been hurt by people in that club. I was pretty naive and only put things together after I left. Anything I can do in my power I will do to stop this kind of activity from going on. But I agree that safety is primary, Blondielashes, as well as healing and moving forward with one's life. I am so appreciative of the kind friends here who are looking out for each other.

I just learned yesterday that the man who stalked me found out about my website and the book Tim wrote which includes a section on him. He is very angry about this and he threatened not only us but Tim's mother as well. He claimed that he has "spent a fortune" to find us and that "we" may be visiting Tim's mother soon. He hinted that he knows where we live. He threatened to sue us for slander (LOL!) and called us filthy names. He even took pains to mock our Christian faith as he is a satanist. We are not concerned about a lawsuit as there is no basis for it, but we are concerned somewhat about our safety.

Please, everyone pray for us and for the conversion of this man as it is clear that he is still a dangerous criminal and is unrepentant. This is first and foremost a spiritual battle and it is clear to us that Satan is very angry that we are spreading the gospel message and also exposing one of his soldiers. So we are not giving in to fear.
