I got a brochure and a letter from my insurance company in the mail. The brochure was called "A story of bipolar disorder". All about coping with bipolar disorder. The letter said "The purpose is to let you know that Blue Cross has resources available to you to help you cope with Bipolar disease...and one of our counselors may be contacting you...also your benefits are not being affected and you can chose not to participate in the program".
Okay so this freaks me out a little. Isn't it bad if you insurance company knows you're bipolar? How did they find out? And who told them considering I have never really been diagnosised bipolar? Is it the medication I take? Am I now in danger of having a "preexisting conidition" if I need to switch insurance companies?
Okay so it freaked me out. Strangers knowing my buisness. What do you all think?
