I thought I would share with you guys something that God has been teaching me through all of this....I am learning that no matter what my situation is, I have to stop comparing myself with others. I have found that I do this quite often, which of course causes jealously etc. God did not make us to be the same as others, that is what makes us all unique.

Wow. Thank you a million times over for sharing that. It is a word from God for me - just what I needed to hear right now. You don't even know how much that has impacted me. You've made me cry - but it's the good kind.

It is so difficult for me sometimes. My two best friends are both due within the next few weeks. One of my church friends just had a baby a couple weeks ago, another is due this week, and the rest of my church friends all have 1-4 children and two of them are having more babies this summer. It makes me ache for a child all the more. But you are so very right. It is not healthy to compare. God has his perfect plan for us too.

So glad this spoke to you. It something I've been working through - not always easy to do. One of my closest friends is due in about 4 weeks and she has had lots of disappointments (finding out she had to have c-section etc) and she was having a hard time with this. I at first thought "how selfish of her, at least she can have children" but then God spoke to me and said I am not doing her or myself any favours by comparing my situation to hers. I am learning to separate the issues and be supportive to her through what she is going through. xx

thanks for sharing. This is (another!) struggle I know well - and I know the truth of what you are saying. I do still struggle with making the truth a reality in my heart though - at the moment, I just long to be far, far away from other people, which is not God's plan!
