CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

PP is not all about abortions. When will people begin to understand that they provide a needed service and most clinics don't even offer abortions.

Too often people simply equate Planned Parenthood with abortion, when the reality is they provide more pre-natal care than any other organization.
I'm always amazed whenever some pro-lifer is happy that a place that is trying to encourage responsible parenthood and healthy pregnancies has closed. It's like they don't care about the kid, just so long as he's born.

And inexpensive healthcare. I admire PP because they're really good about helping low income women. Recently, birth control prices have skyrocketed on college campuses, so because of this I'm going to PP to get BC, when I need it.
Yes, people need to stop equating PP with abortion. Yes, they provide abortions, but that's only 3% of what they do. The rest is gyno exams, pap smears, giving out free condoms (I like that
), pre-natal care, family planning counseling, STD testing, etc. It's sad to see this happen, because many go to PP for these types of things.
Hey, black why don't you show me where there are infant corspes behind trash cans at PP's? Do you have any evidence of this? Or just stop making stupid comments.

Wow... I was about to say that the gov't shouldn't fund PP because to me, it's a business. I still believe that PP should be a privately-owned business but... just 18%?

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of abortion providers in the United States. One entity is responsible for the 18% of them. That is a terribly HIGH number... not low as you would like to see it as. PP has the nations HIGHEST abortion rate. Period.
And the others don't go without protest.

...and all you have to do is look at PPs annual reports to see what 10,000,000 services they provide- near 40% of it is condoms and pills. Cushion.

I'd be perfectly happy with this if it was only the clinics that offered abortion that were being shut down but that is most likely not the case. More than likely clinics that offer health care and condoms and other forms of birth control are also being shut down and that is sad. Women need access to health care and birth control and Planned Parenthood is a top provider of both. But needless to say, I won't be shedding any tears for any abortion clinics being closed down.
