Another Day
All in all it's just another day
As I slowly watch you fade away
The look upon your eyes
Was just a mere disguise
I thought I once knew you
Turns out reality was indeed due
I fell in love with a fallacy
Something no one else can ever see
I entrusted you with my love
Even when I acted tough
All I gave was shoved away
You walked out my lfe on that day
I came bearing roses and a card
I waited two hours in your front yard
Only to be thought of as inferior
And rip up my interior
I look at your picture one last time
Knowing that you were once mine
I look into your soul
Seeing the devil that you just love to hold
My dreams of us have turned awry
I drew X's through your eyes
All in it's just another day
As I slowly watch you fade away

American Soldier
I am the American Soldier
I live in this hell as I grow older
Many moons have come and gone
Everything about this war, is cruel and wrong
I sit and wait for my time to fight
I don't even know what is just, and right
I fight for one man's greed
He who cares for his own needs
Children dying, people crying
Why must I continue fighting?
People suffering from the pain
There is nothing more to gain
My innocence has died in this war
I want to no longer see this blood and gore
I am the American Soldier
Why won't this flame just grow cold, and smolder?
All in all it's just another day
As I slowly watch you fade away
The look upon your eyes
Was just a mere disguise
I thought I once knew you
Turns out reality was indeed due
I fell in love with a fallacy
