I wanted to get down to some of the reasons why i believe that Christ is the son of god. Compelling evidence we have is really the bible, words that last about 2000 years. We take some of the original words in the garden of Eden we are different from every other animal as we have the knowledge of good and evil. Some would say that this is learned but nobody has ever conducted tests to prove whether people are born bad, or learn good and bad. Some would also use the arguement that "well no one was there so we can't prove it" I laugh when i hear these words because its the foundation of our criminal justice system. Example is Man (A) shoots man (B). We have a system in which we use evidence to support conclusons on whether Man (A) is guilty or not. IT IS NOT based on whether if there was a witness in the case, based on EVIDENCE.
We have our historical document based text, the bible. Similar to our court, we have Testimonies from people who knew Jesus and what he did. We have written documentation that he did in fact raise from the dead and showed himself to over 2000+ people. Gee no wonder Christians were being converted so fast, about 3500 per day...
So id like to take a look at our apostles, these men when writing about themselves did anyone else notice that they didn't write a single good thing about themselves? They wrote about how cowardly they were, how they were fools and losers. Now where would these apostles get there "new found courage"? We know as human beings that if we are in the same "situation" for a really long time such as poverty, laziness, attitudes what have you. We are not very likely to change unless something gives us the strength to change! This brings me to my next conclusion, The apostles were obviously there when Jesus was raised from the dead. Do you think if Jesus had been lying that Christianity would be the #1 Religion practiced today? Lets be real. These events took place, and its time we start accepting the truth.
