Howdy All,
I thought I would share some good news.
Since I couldn't get into see a psychiatrist until September, I finally decided that I needed to do something. I called the psychiatrist's office yesterday and found out that they also have a number of psychologists on staff. I was able to get into see on in 2 weeks and he'll be able to help me start developing some of the coping strategies, etc. that I'm struggling with.
In addition, I talked to our home group leader this week (from our church). He was very, very supportive and offered to do anything that he could to help. He said, "I don't really know what you and [your wife] need, but if you can tell me, we'll be happy to do it."
I greatly appreciated his offer and simply the friendship. It's probably the first time in a couple of years that I've had someone that I could call a "friend" in our church.
Anyhow, that's it for now. Hope all is going well for the rest of y'all.
Godspeed,
