I'd love to hear your story? And how life changed afterwards :)

I was born into a Christian family, raised in an Assemblies of God denomination. I fell away during my youth, and rareley ever went to church again. However, last year, when I was 19, my religious interest and decision to renew my dedication to God grew again, and I started attending church again, now as a Baptist.

I'm a five-point Calvinist, young earth creationist, and believe in the post-tribulation rapture of all believers in Christ.

I'm a former Muslim. Came to the saving knowledge of Christ nearly 4 years ago.

I met and married a Christian man, and he helped bring me to Christ. He knew Islam (from time in the middle east) and was able to both understand me and answer my questions and doubts concerning the Christian God..

God took it from there.

I'm a 5 point Calvinist. Baptist.

I was raised a mix of Episcopalian and Catholic and learned next to nothing in either Sunday school I went to. I ended up being confirmed in the Catholic Church but ceased regular churchgoing after that until I went away to college. I was invited to Mass at the end of my first semester, and that was it. I started reading the Bible that night, and I read it all the way through in about a year and four months. I've been reading more from the early Church in the past year than ever before, and Eucharistic theology has become my passion.

I was raised in a religious home, but found no power or satisfaction in keeping the rules. I became fascinated with the occult, until I found it was changing my character to someone I didn’t want to be. By then, I believed I was cursed, and unredeemable. But in desperation, I cried out to God (if You’re there) to deliver me. That night the nightmares ceased, and I awoke in peace, and committed to discover the God Who loved me that much, and had the power to extinguish evil. I found a Christian believer I had previously encountered ( I had made her cry with my blasphemy), and told her I had a “thing” with God. She was wise enough to guide me into the Scriptures, and later invite me to church services with her family. That was 43 years ago, and I am still moved by God’s delivering power. I love His Word, and endeavor to encourage people with it whenever I can. Jesus is Lord. God has allowed me to work with people in recovery, prison, the homeless, and broken situations. I find that not many people seriously seek God’s Spirit until they are desperate in some way. God is faithful, and transforms lives.
