  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are you getting a lot of snow this year? We've had lots dumped on us here in Nova Scotia so far.

These pictures were taken in St. John's after the past weekend blizzard(Jan 6/14)

I like the idea of a pre-fabricated igloo. :)
Heh, that's easy to say where people like us live. I bet if you lived there, you'd miss those flowers that bloom by the end of January....especially on the Island. Actually, remember two years ago, when the south part of the Island was dumped on? They practically shut everything down over a couple of inches. Heh heh. I wonder what they would have said about that in Nova Scotia? They probably saw it on the news and had a good giggle.

You're right of course, ValleyGal,

In the Cowichan Valley, where I live, the district only has about $15,000 in their budget for clearing roads of snow. That covers about one and a half snow falls of about 5 centimeters. After that we're on our own. :).
