SNL has two going on maternity leave

Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph are both going to give birth this fall so they won't be on Saturday Night Live. I'm not a fan of Maya Rudolph so that one doesn't bother me but Tina Fey is the funniest person on the show and she's the head writer. I'm thinking this coming season will be the worst season they've had in several years.

I stopped watching SNL when they lost Will Ferrel. Just hasn't been funny since.

No Tina Fey?? [Darn]!! I love Tina. I think she is so beautiful.

SNL has its good and bad seasons, it gets a really good cast, and then a really bad one. Each time I am ready to write it off, it comes back. I can't even imagine a season without Tina Fey, the news with her, is one of the funniest parts of the show. Since she is one of the head writers, I agree this season is not going to go so well

The most likely to do the news segment is Amy Poeller and she isn't funny. May be as her role changes from Tina's side kick to the main person she will do things differently and become funny. There are several other writers at SNL so may be they will find somebody really good to be the new head writer. If the political jokes are either all liberal or conservative it's not funny. SNL did a great job of having a balance in the mid 90's but that hasn't always been true. She's liberal but under her the jokes were going both ways although not as funny as a decade ago in my personal opinion.

GL2814, attractive but more importantly she's smart with a good sense of humor. Her husband is one extremely lucky guy.
