  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I really dislike cigarettes' smokes... so don't even bother to let me start on how I loathe cigarettes...
Same here. Most of the time when I leave my dorm, I have to go through cigarette smoke. I don't see what the point is.

I actually tried one when I was little because my dad smoked. I hated it! I coughed the rest of the day. But my dad died when I was young, and I believe smoking was a big cause of his death.

i've smoked a couple really nice cigars in the past. But, the after taste and getting dizzy part I didn't like. It taste good in the begging, til after the midway part of the cigar.

hah, same here.. we used to smoke some cigars just to relieve some of the stress from class.. the dizzy part of course is the buzz, and sometimes that was the best part , just because..

but, i hated waking up smelling, breath stinking, and stomach hurting so i stopped

Statistically it is the Number 1 cause of preventable death followed by alcohol and heart conditions (obesity).

No, and I wouldn't ever smoke. To me, smoking is one of the most disgusting not to mention selfish things that someone can do, especially if they have a family. So many people are exposed to the harmful effects of secondhand cigarette smoke by inconsiderate smokers and I absolutely refuse to 1) subject my body to such unhealthy practices and 2) subject anyone else to inhalation of cigarette smoke.

hmm, mine were the Arturo Fuente Hemingway 'short story' cigars. $5 each. I've bought 2 $18 each cigars that only came out once a year for my crew leader and supervisor at work. They were the same brand, but weren't called 'short stories'.

I actually started taking drags off of other peoples' cigs, which led to nicotine cravings, which led to me smoking. But, as I said earlier, I roll my own - which is much healthier than smoking storeboughts. Also, I've been trying to quit... not going well. Oh well, please keep me in your prayers. Thanks!

Yeah brother, I am praying for you. God will give you strength to anticipate the withdraw symptom. And don't go look for cigarette because it will just tempt you...

Love you.:)

I've never smoked, and I don't think I'll pick up the habit - I have lots of problems with chemical sensitivity (walking past a perfume counter gives me a headache...) But my mom's side of the family all smoke, as do as one of my friends and I sit out with them when they smoke. I get headaches, but I can get past that. But I don't see any of them very often...

Smoked tobacco since about 14, so approximately 12 years.
Nostromadu, it is tough quiting. But one of the things that helps once it's been pointed out that you shouldn't have this, or don't need this in your life is to ask God to show you why you should dislike it. It's cool to let go of it though, you can smell again!
