i'm in the polling mood. do you think you have street smarts or book smarts?

I'm more book smart. LOL in fact, my mother always says, "honey, for someone as intellectual as you are, you don't possess alot of street smarts." She's right.

i hate books.. and i dont do big words.. and know-it-all genius's who think they own the world need to open up their pretty lil eyes, and get their nose outta a book and take a look around. more to life then a dictionary.

if you roll on my street, i'd kick ur sorry book worm {tush} to a pulp, and teach you how to survive in the real world.

I'm book smart, as obvious by my complete lack of common sense in various situations. At least that's what my friends say.

Despite growing up in the inner-city, I'm definitely more book-smart than anything else. I've got enough street-smarts to get by, but surprisingly little considering where I grew up and who some of my friends were.

which do you guys think is best? i think that you need to have a little bit of both, personally. you need to know how to survive in any environment but at the same time, you have to know your stuff if you wanna be successful.

I think I'm a mixture of both. However I think I'm more book smart than street smart. Which might get me into trouble someday.

I don't think that would be smart, intellectual, street, or otherwise.

I'm much more intellectually smart than street smart. In the last few years the balance has shifted a lot though. That's what the San Fernando Valley will do to you.

now that we've got some answers, what do you guys think street smarts are? i know what Ginsu thinks. i think street smarts is being flexible in many different situations/environments. i'm just as comfortable walking down the street in Golden Hills (a poor neighboorhood in southeast san diego) as i am hanging out with friends in Poway (upperclass neighboorhood). although, i prefer my hood rat friends...
