  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

She was the world's smallest baby. Now she's a healthy infant - CNN

Born at 23 weeks and at 8.6 ounces.

So it looks like a "fetus" is a "viable baby" at least at 23 weeks. Agree?

And is this 23 week old a human life? A person?

 Praise God!!!! Thank you for posting this. God bless li'l Saybie and her mom and all the family. I wish i could send a card n' balloons. This li'l one is a "pioneer" of sorts, and by golly does she have a voice now for all those who do not, "yet"? Praise God!!!

Thank You Father, in the name of Jesus, amen. (((hug)))

Hopefully it causes more to think and realize.

Realize how much power we have over God? I cannot realize this, because it isnt true. God is all life and all power. If God says live....there is nothing man can do to stop it.

Is this a time to tell of the wonder and power of God...... Or talk about how we believe man can say die when God says live? e.g. the power of man over God?

 It's time to celebrate, li'l Saybie, Raymond.

Let's do so, yes?

You are misunderstanding the point of my post. To clarify, I meant hopefully it makes more realize how formed a baby is at this development stage.

I agree........this should be in a celebration forum, not a debate forum...

God can make live a 1 week old fetus........There is nothing too hard for Him. This article is not surprising at all, just reminds me of the wonders and powers of God.....which cannot be overthrown by any decision a human can make.

And yes, NOTHING is too hard for God, is it?

I'm reminded of the verse where God asks "Is ANYTHING too hard for me?"

God bless you Raymond. (((hug)))

 You're on. You send the diapers, and i'll send the card and balloons.

Find out where we send them if i can't, brother.

(Moms read the cards on behalf of their newborns, Raymond, and even newborns can see the bright shiny balloons, especially the kind that i like to give, and that is those large butterfly mylar balloons that can actually oh so gently move their wings in the breeze.)

I praise God for saving Saybie's mother's life as well.

"After experiencing severe pregnancy complications, Saybie's mother gave birth via emergency cesarean section at 23 weeks, 3 days gestation in the womb," the hospital explained at a news conference. "Doctors said the preterm birth was necessary after they found that the baby was not gaining weight and her mother's life was at immediate risk."

 Well of COURSE i include li'l Saybie's mom in this celebration as well, Hank.

God bless BOTH of them. The survival of BOTH is a time for celebration, is it not?

I was responding to the news about Saybie, as per the title of this thread and the OP. I was not ignoring li'l Saybie's mom, i assure you, Hank.

God bless you. (((hug)))
