they are not a satanic band at all - They are however for Anarchy. I used to listen to them, but dropped them and all the other secular bands i listened to and went to strictly christian. They had some decent messages behind their songs - read the lyrics...I do however know for a fact they were not demonic or satanic in any way.

Alright...I was just trying to tell you that SOME bands are not a very good influence on Christians (or any other person!) I have personally only heard about them, never REALLY took the time to listen (nor do I want to...)

Hey everyone! It is I again! How are you all doing? I am doing great! I hope you are too! I just wanted to tell everyone that you guys are awesome! I love how you guys always reply when I need help, or if I say something wrong. I am sorry about the slipknot thingif I offended any of you I have just had a few experiences (not about them), but I have with musicsosorry! I was just expressing my opinionand to tell you the truthI really do not know much (at all, hardly) about themjust what Ive heard. I realize that was wrong of me to condemn themwhen I do not even listen to them! J I hope you guys will forgive me. I just do not think that I should listen to them. (AOL Keyword: I J) I really like a lot of Christian Rock! I think it rocks! (I know, I know, that was really corny!) I also like KJ~52 I am another Jeremy Camp fan too! I think he is an amazing artist! I think Todd Agnew is cool too! (Have you heard Grace like Rain? Or Fragile breath? If not, you really need too!) Those songs are cool! I also like the 12 Stones (well, I do not like that one video Broken, I like the song, but not the video!!!!!!!!! the beginning has some lesbiansI do not think that is right! I think it is totally wrong! I believe that was just a little toooooooooooo bad for me! I am a conservative person! (Partially republican, however, I do not care for George Bush! Go figure! J ) I just thought I would say hi!!!!!!!! So HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well got to go! BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Satanic or not, they have a totally negative and hateful message and are only set on disorder and violence. This is a band that I will personally guaruntee you that is in no way, shape or form good for anyones ears, especially Christians. In no society is what they sing about a good thing for anyone, they are not even for the common good. Honestly people, just listen to their lyrics.

Their music can be a bit much for me sometimes...but I don't recommend listening to them while you are mad at your brother cuz it can cause some things to break.

speaking as someone who actually did dress "goth," whatever the heck that means, goth can be interpreted differently by different people. I just wore black t's, a dog collar, and baggy pants.

for some people that by definition is rebellion and evil, someone that needs "to get god."

it's a common misconception, the thought of "the clothes make the man"

but whatever.

i've listened to just a few slipknot songs.

i like wait and bleed. and the new single of their current cd "duality" sounds pretty cool.

o-O though it's not like i listen to slipknot 24/7 and have a poster on my wall and stuff.

they are one of many different styles of music i listen too ;p

eh. whatever. -____-' i think there are some more destructive ideas goin on in pop christianity than someone saying that at one point in there life they wanted to die.

i think that people mainly say they are satanic because of not the lyrics alone but because of the style of music..... cause i doubt many who heard corey taylor's song "bother" on the spider-man soundtrack, would use the term "satanic"

i'm merely a fan of the style of the music played and i don't really see anything wrong with enjoying "slipknot, korn, papa roach, system of a down, etc"

Slipknot is not Satanic or evil. One of the band members is actually a Christian. They have made references to Satan in their early music but become more soft on their music sound over the years. I'm a Christian and I love Slipknot and the Entrie metal genre, Except for Black metal most of the bands in the black metal subgenre and professed Satanists
