  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was wandering because I'm with my first; 15 weeks along and I sleep a lot. I've never slept this long. No matter what I still feel tired. Is this normal? I slept til 11 this morning, a waist of a day off. I work 12p- 9p on work days so I've been sleeping later and later. I'm guesstimating 10- 12 hours sometimes...... But when I sleep way too long, I'm a bit off all day and a little woozy headed. The only reason I sleep so much, the first time I might wake still very tired. Hey a friend told me the baby grows when you sleep... well if that were true, the kid would be ready to come out now... lol! I've been taking my vitamins and eating healthy too. Fiber and vitamins in my diet too.

It really varies for me-- this pregnancy has been the insomnia pregnancy. I don't sleep much or well at all...for awhile 2nd trimester I was taking Benadryl on the advice of my doc- and that got me a good4-5 hours.

I have had other pregnancies though where I have just slept and slept. I think it's different though, too-- because I have a bunch of other kids to deal with-- our youngest just got moved out of our room about a month or so ago

First trimester and the beginning of trimester two, I slept A LOT...I am talking like 16 hours a day. It tapered off the second part of trimester two and I was sleeping just a regular 8 hours...beginning of trimester 3, I started sleeping 12 hours a night again and now that I am on the final stretch, I do good to get 2-4 hours of sleep, six is rare and 12 is unheard of (unless i am taking benadryl or something)! It is perfectly normal to be "unexplainably" fatigued in the beginning/middle, you know EXACTLY why you are fatigued @ the end!!! Enjoy the rest cause it definitely tapers off @ the end...I think it is nature's way of preparing your body for the little one!

I slept quite a bit during my first trimester but after that I struggled with sleep, especially once I hit the third. I took lots of naps though to catch up on sleep. It may be said that the lack of sleep is just preparing you for the sleep you'll lose once the baby comes...there is no way to prepare for that lol. I thought I lost sleep during pregnancy but I had no clue what sleep loss was until now .

I'm so jealous of you girls that get naps during the day. The only days i can nap are saturday and sunday because of working.

I am sleeping so much more than normal - i've been going to bed between 8 and 9 and getting up at 6.30 for work.

Although having said that last night i slept really badly

I slept really bad last night, also. I was sooo tired during the day, then I was awake most of the night so this morning I feel super tired again. GRRR! Oh well! I'm praying for a good night sleep tonight!
