How can you consciously know you are about to sin...but continue to do so because you've accepted God and due to this He's automatically forgiven any sin that comes from you?!

I am not without sin...nobody is

But I make the effort to try not to...If I know that I have the CHOICE to sin or not...I'm not going to sin...

Why do we still sin when we have been given the choice not to....when we are aware mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally that what we are about to do...is sin?

That's like asking why do we Breathe? or when we wake in the morning why do we open our eyes?
The short answer is because it's in our nature. we have a choice to stop breathing anytime we wish, but our bodies force us to take a breath. that is our nature, to want life and to live.. When we wake we open our eyes to see right? do we not have a choice to keep them shut? Can we not make our way through life without seeing another thing? many have.. but those of us who have a choice open our eyes when we wake...Why? because it makes life easier.. that is our nature to survive and make life as easy as possiable.. look at our american life style and tell me everything isn't cattered to making life as easy as our funds will allow..

The Same is true with sin sometimes it makes our life easier and sometimes we deem it nessary for survival.. Look at you self as 4 beings in one body: Body, mind, spirit, and soul, all four of them have to be in agreement in order for you to do the "Rightous" thing because if left to it's own will then all four would rather choose sin.. (Our nature) Some times it's easier to just let the body have it's way or the mind to have it way then to struggle with yourself to do the right thing... this is why we sin and this is why we cannot ever stop. this is why there had to be a sacerfice..

I hope that answered your question, if you have any trouble with it or need scripture to back any of it up then I'd be glad to share it with you.

I would focus your time right now in the book of Romans. Romans 8 is known as the victory chapter and goes on to explain why and how sin is forgiven and that no matter what happens here on earth Jesus will never forsake us.

In John 8:44 it refers to the devil as a liar and the father of lies. He is bound in time and one day he will burn in the Lake of Fire which burneth forever and he, his fallen angels, and all those who did not believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior will go here. He has nothing better to do except accuse us of our past sins and try to break our faith. He does not like new believers for he has lost us from his kingdom of darkness plus when the time comes you can witness to other non-believers and possible plant a seed so that they to will one day come to salvation. He has nothing better to do but to try and break our faith and lead us away from Jesus. We are kind of like a trophy for him to try and break us away from Jesus. If he can break our faith or tempt us into something then he will try to get a foothold in your life which then can lead to a stronghold which might lead you away from Jesus. We are in Jesus hands but we can jump out if we start to give up or willfully grieve the spirit. Remember Jesus sees everything you do and will never forsake you. Just turn all problems over to him and continue to be led by his spirit of righteousness.

I would recommend that you read in Ephesians chapter 6 the Full armor of God. It talks about are spritual protection here on earth. Have someone in your church or a friend explain it to you. What happens is the enemy will attack you mentally when you are tired, hungry, and angry for he will try to tempt you to do something that is sinful. Just remember all past, present, and future sins are covered and forgiven by his blood. We can't willfully sin but we will all fail from time to time and he realizes it. He is in heaven making intercessions with the father for us. He is our Conqueror and Victor here.

I hope this will help you in your walk.

we sin because, as chillibowl said, it's part of our nature. paul talks in the bible of the fight between the spirit and the flesh. the spirit wants to do what is right, but the flesh wants to keep on sinning.

however, even though it's natural, that doesn't mean that it's right.

we all struggle with sin, i know i do. but what we need to do is to ask God continually to help us be more like Him. it's always a good idea to start small as it were. in your day to day living, try to live for God. simple things like not swearing, being kind and gracious to everyone. for me as a guy that includes things like acting like a gentleman by opening doors for ladies, letting them go first, etc.

just by starting with the everyday things you do, and making conscious efforts to not sin in those daily things starts the whole process of doing the right thing when the bigger things in life come along. it's difficult at first, and indeed it does not get much easier, but the more you become used to doing the right thing, the more you will arry on doing the right thing.

of course one good way of not sinning is by making sure you don't get into situations where you can easily fall into sin. for instance, when you and your bf (if you have one) want to get together, make sure you go out to public places and not stay at home, where there is a temptation to possibly get more intimate. or if you are at home, make sure you have a suitable gooseberry around to keep you out of mischief :). you could also organise something with another couple too, so that it becomes 4 of you.

anyways, i think you get the picture...

hope this helps

The Flesh is going to sin. I always look at things like this - if we deliberterly sin, because we know we can repent for it laters, thats wrong. Like having a choice saying well I know its a sin but I can just repent... But things slip up, sometimes we get upset or mad and before we even know what we have done we have sinned, at those times we best get on our knees and pray. I know the second I have sinned, I am completely convicted of it and I say I should not of said that.. Please forgive me.
When I was first saved, i told my husband, I better just stay in bed, I cant even get up out of bed without sinning... But I know we all fall short of the Glory of God and we are not without sin. That is why Jesus came and died for us, because Flesh is going to sin and we need Jesus to save us. -- But we also have to TRY to turn away from the same sins. Through prayer for strength and guidance, God helps us through that and after awhile we realize that we grow stronger and the sins are less and less.
