A question for anyone who's followed this whole thing: Has anyone actually had courage enough to match themselves with someone?

Stuff like "Bugs Bunny and some fossilized Martian bacteria... for no reason at all" may be fun, but there's no risk. After 93 pages, has anyone kicked it up a notch?
