I have noticed that a major topic across this forum is sin. I have to say, there is nothing wrong with discussing it, but I feel that Christians sometimes dwell on sin too much. I have noticed in my everyday life, that when you worry about the sins you commit and take the time to think about them, it starts to draw you further from God. I feel that us Christians need to lighten up on it. We need to meditate on the fact of Jesus dying and rising again, with all the sins on His back. I can stay that I live a much, much happier life when I ignore the sins that are in my life, because I am not perfect. Everyday has ups and downs, and which ever you associate with affects your mood. You are never going to live a sinless day. But you can live a life without the chains of sin locking you down. Keep it in your mind that Jesus took His life just so we could be forgiven of these sins. Every sin you commit, Jesus forgives. If you do believe it, show it. Don't get all worked up at every little thing you do. Remember Jesus and keep your heart and mind in the knowledge and love of God.

God Bless

I tend to agree with you on this. it seems like almost every conversation or debate about sin devolves down into the same premise though. it is phrased, pursued, or thought of in a variety of ways, but most of these conversations about sin seem to really be asking, "how much sin can i play with and still get in to heaven?".

Sin no longer stands between mankind and the entrance into heaven!
However, just ignoring sin isn't wise either.
The salvation we receive from Christ spares us from the penalty of sin;
However, it is a life with Christ, that guides us into how to overcome the power of sin as we still live!
And it is Gods ultimate plan for humanity to eliminate all sin!

if someone struggles with a particular sin, they do need to address it. salvation is not a license to sin freely.
and anyone who truly walks with Christ will feel compelled to overcome and address their sins because their sins will war against their souls (1 Peter)

so don't dwell on sin, but do address it.
don't try to justify anything through repentance from sin, but give glory to God for the deliverance.
don't become stale or lukewarm in your relationship with Christ, but pursue Him even more ardently than ever before!
