If you fall into sin, does that mean that your heart is a sinners heart?
The Lord gave me an allegory on this. He said "If a person walks by a puddle of mud, and falls into it, though the person is dirty at the time, would you say that person is a nasty person ? My answer was no, he fell in right?
Then he said to me "If another person walks by a puddle of mud, falls into it, then wallows in it, sleeps in it, eats it, drinks it, thinks about it, and cherishes it, and spends so much time in it that he forsakes even his time with me, would you say that person is a nasty person? My answer was yes, that person would be not only a nasty person, but a foolish one.
Then God said to me "Though both men were dirty and in the same puddle of mud, you viewed them differently, why? I said because one stayed in the mud while the other didn't" "The first guy more than likely was upset because of being dirty and sought to be cleaned. God said "That's how I view sin".
Sin is a conscious decision. James 4 supports this statement.
4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
The Grace of God is abused quite often. We take the Grace of God as a ticket to indulge in sin. Since we are born into sin, naturally, yet are saved spiritually through repentance, we take that as a ticket to indulge in sin because we feel that our salvation is set no matter what we do. The Grace of God doesn't work that way. The Grace of God pulls a person out of sin once they confess their sins. The Grace of God does not give the go ahead to sin. If a believer falls into sin, we repent of that sin and move on with the intentions of avoiding the sin that we committed it's Grace that allows us to continue from that point. Grace also carries us when we've sinned unintentionally/unconsciously. Grace does not carry us once we've intentionally/consciously, rebelled/sin. If we have rebelled consciously and we become sorry for our rebellion Grace will accept us once again.
The Hell bound(Deceived) mentality is- Grace accepts me even if I sin as I please.
The Heaven bound mentality is- Grace accepts me no matter how many times I fall, become sorry, and have to repent.
Simply put, one mentality thinks that God is mocked while the other knows God is not mocked.
I thought that might motivate someone who is discouraged about sin, yet they desire the Lord in sincerity. Also, to discourage anyone that wants to indulge in sin.
