A man lives his life proclaiming to know God and claims Victory in Jesus to everyone he knows, but has secretly lived a life of shameful lust over women & pornography since age 11. He has read his bible everyday since age 5 and quotes scripture to a "T". He prays and asks for forgiveness for his ailment, but never can seem to truly break the habit. He has sought the advice of many men and has been prayed over many times. He has many "Christian" men tell him that he is by nature a sinful being and that as long as he strives to love Christ -that everything is ok. They tell him that he will never be able to overcome his sinful nature -that in times of temptation- when he fails to overcome it, that it is his flesh that is weak, not his faith. He has often times doubted his salvation but now has convinced himself that the Apostle Paul struggled with similar sin and that he makes his struggle known in Romans 7. He confirms in scripture that he still knows the Lord despite his sinful ways by conforming and twisting its meaning until it fits his unrepentant lifestyle.

You see, this man joins the millions of deceived "Christians" over the ages who will face a wrath filled God at the day they are judged because God made it plain to them that their sin needed to be repented of, but because men choose to serve sin as their master, God has handed them over to depravity and has given them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie.

That is the condition of most "Christian men" that I know to date, maybe not all a slave to porn, but depraved in some way, yet claiming to know him. All standing under the delusion that Grace somehow makes up for their blatant disregard for the power of Christ blood.

What a foolish people and generation we are to look at the condition of current human depravity, and turn up our noses, but late at night when all are asleep, we give ourselves over to shameful lust and sinful thoughts.

How many reading this would admit that just maybe, they live under the powerful delusion that God himself has sent to men, who want the fruit of Christ labor but refuse to believe that they might not be from the same tree? How many of us would be willing to search deeply and examine our hearts and doctrines to see if we are following a lie or the truth?

I need the help, so if you truly are a righteous man or woman of God and do see beyond your self delusional religious conformations that you are something that you are not, please pray for me and the millions of others who even tonight will surf here -then surf somewhere were they shouldn’t.

Sorry for the long post!

I believe and agree with much of what you write. Many are delusional in their thinking toward God (myself included) Everyone has a different slant on just about everything. Someone once said that everything that is true is true even if no-one sees it; everything that is false is still false even if everyone believes it.

As far as personal sin is required we all struggle with different weaknesses that is true. The gospel reveals our sinful state before God but also gives us hope in Christ not as an excuse for sin but as an escape from its grasp. Escape from sin I believe comes in 3 stages it is like being in prison shackled hand and foot.

First we are released from our personal bondage when the shackles are removed. Next we are released from the prison walls. Finally we need to defeat the authourity that held us in prison.

Many are set free by God but never set foot out of the prision. Again many are removed from prision but never confront the authority that has placed them there; they then become enslaved again.

May God bless you and give you the strengh to overcome any struggles you have.

The more you eat the more you toot? o_O;;

Sorry, my dad used to say that too me all the time when I was little when he talked about beans. XD

Anyhow, this really spoke to me. Myself and many other people I know of are the same way. I could list so many things that I struggle with every day. Sometimes I'm well aware of it, other times I'm not. It just seems so overwhelming when confronted with the sinful world and trying to live like Christ. It just sends my head spinning. I don't think there's any way I could ever be like Jesus. I just keep falling victim to sin. For awhile, I'll do my best not to sin and I'll keep up on reading God's word, learning and growing in Him. Next thing I know, I'm being attacked and I fall back to where I was before. It's so hard. =/ People who say that we use "religion" as a crutch really have no clue how hard it can be. It's such an intense struggle day in and day out.

I think God can sort out those who continue to sin because of the 11th commandment 'thou shalt not get caught', or because they think they can 'get away' with stuff because of grace, from those who struggle and fail, however repeatedly.
