  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Those steins remind me of the glass boots that were popular in Germany years ago. Probably stilll are. Anyway they held something like five beers and you had to watch how you drank out of them or you got a facefull

Hey if you and hubby don't have a "scoot" I'll sell you mine. I need a new one. Got a Honda trike but want an old Harley that has that certain growl with the "patatoe, patatoe" sound Can't take it with me if/when We move to UT. TOO big.

Hey, mind if I brag????

Today was Awards Day at my daughter's school. She's finishing up 6th grade this year and just received the President's Educational Award for Excellence!!! To receive the award, the student needs to have a 3.5 gpa or higher and be in the 85% for math or reading in the achievements tests

Sorry I haven't been aorund much folks. Lots of work to do around the house and with work is taking most of my time. But more inportantly, my wife gave birth on Tuesday, May 30 to our our son, Eli Jack. He's an absolute bundle of joy, and I can't seem to take my eyes off of him. Mom is doing great...she's my hero! (Yes, ladies, it was natural....now I can never complain about my aching back again, as long as I live).

I have missed you, Kep. The rest of the Lutherans have held up their end well in your absence though and haven't let me get by with too much Orthodox propaganda.

7 lbs 3 oz and 20 inches!!!! What a long guy! AND BEAUTIFUL!!! Takes after mama, 'eh?

My only advice to all parents is to savor every moment you have with them while they are young. Children really do grow up way, way, too fast and one day they will leave (or they are supposed to, but our 22 year old and our 18 year old haven't figured that part out yet! ).
