Hello Everyone!
I live in America and our society is very highly a self entertainment one. It's all about entertaining ourselves! (Books, Movies, Television, Video Games, Anime, etc.) This can make it SUPER hard to follow God as in the bible it says that we are to give this all up and follow Him.
I had a really interesting idea and I thought I would share it with you. Maybe you have thought of it before, so bare with me. When we look at the past and the era where Jesus lived, it was a much simpler time. I would much rather go through those challenges than the ones we have today. Back then was more physical and now it is more a mental thing. We have to fight with the entertain ourselves mentality, and with people trying to use science to denounce the one true God.
Since I would rather go through what they went through back then, I thought of way to make getting through this live so much easier. I am a history fanatic. I love history, I LOVE IT!! My friend made fun of me calling me Buddha at this next part. NOT COOL! It totally applies to God!
We must live our lives in a spiritual MENTALITY!! Don't even think of the physical. *This will be cool for history/fantasy gamers* Think of life like you are a soldier. *A lot of this actually does relate the bible, and that's where this idea came from..duh
* So you are a soldier, and you are to battle the enemy! You must go through life, training yourself *Studying bible, praying, following Jesus Christ and being his disciple*, battling the enemy *Evangelizing*, all to get to the end and go to the Hall of God! Another way to think of it is that you are a Knight and you want to get back to your kingdom, the Kingdom of God. So you must fight through your enemy to get back to your kingdom. When you follow Jesus and evangelize and show the love of God you are fighting the enemy and moving towards your kingdom. When you live your life like this, then you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven and get to go to the Hall of God!! A place where God Himself will be!! Along with his court *People like the 12 disciples, Jesus Christ, Moses, Elijah, etc!*
I'll try to add anything I forgot, but I would like your input on my idea I feel called to be a missionary, so this really applies to me. I am a soldier who is going to fight to show as many people the love of my God as I can, and to battle the demons of today's world! Thanks for taking the time to read this
