I'm doing this for a friend, but I don't know the first thing about laptops since I've never owned one.

I guess she needs a new/used power cord for a Toshiba Satellite, Model PSLV6U-01C007 laptop.

Could someone provide a link for the cheapest one that is compatible and available over on Amazon?

Sorry, I've looked, but it has me super confused with how many there are.

Cheers. :)

The safest way to get the right one is to search by the part number that should be printed on the power adapter itself. If it's not there, call up Toshiba support and have them determine the right part.

So the Model number is actually of no use?

Okay.

I'll let my friend know this and hopefully she still has the broken power adapter.

You're just asking us to guess what sort of power adapter it might be.

Some laptop power blocks use a standard figure-8 adapter, others use various shapes of two or three pin sockets. It doesn't help you or your friend if a stranger on the internet sends you a link and you find it's the wrong one.

If you could post a photo of the socket where the power cord is supposed to connect that would help. Otherwise you're just asking everyone else to do all the work for you.

Sorry.

Again, I don't know the first thing about laptops.

I thought my question was easy enough to answer than what it actually was.

If you can post an image it will be easier to help. Laptop cords might look like any one of these:

(for example:)

and probably more besides. If you get the wrong plug on the end it won't fit into the power brick.

then try this seeings you cannot get the model #..
google the PSLV6U-01C007 and find out how many watts it is..
then take that information to bestbuy, or staples, and as the clerk to hook you up with a universal laptop adapter.. make sure that it is for a laptop, not a netbook.. the reason i say go universal, is because you can always use it with your next one that you replace this one with..
