As I progress in gaining experience baking my own bread, one of the issues Ive had is the silicon bread forms I use, while wonderful to tip the bread out of after taking it out of the oven, it unfortunately does not hold its shape, resulting in a loaf of bread which does not fit the toaster when cutting into slices. As the dough rises it also bulges over the sides of the form, again producing a slice which won't fit the toaster.
For the former issue, I've repurposed an old wire coat hanger, bending it into shape to form a cradle for the silicon form, keeping the sides of the form from bulging out. Its working ok but I plan on making a proper wire basket to sit the forms into as it is too easy for the form to slip out when putting it into the oven.
For the latter, I've found that all I needed to do was line the silicon form with a rectangular cylinder of baking paper which has been folded lengthwise to give it a bit of extra strength. Now I get a tall loaf of bread that fits perfectly in the toaster when sliced. Very happy with the result.
Here's an olive bread I baked yesterday.
The line along the side is the top of the silicon form. The loaf is approximately twice the height of the form
