I have Sikh friends. We discuss Christianity and Sikhism.
I was interested that in their Holy Book there is a part where one of the gurus is tested in the desert almost exactly as Jesus was. The guru was tested by questions and temptations by Satan. Virtually same temptations. They say Satan rules right now but he will be overcome.
How is this possible? Sikhs do not recognise Jesus at all. But many of their stories are uncannily similar in principle, with christianity.

The Sikh religion is about 500 years old. It would have been easy enough to borrow the story. But then the idea of being tested in the wilderness as a 'coming of age' thing is common enough in diverse cultures so it could be independent.

Sikhism borrows from Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity. That's why certain passages sound like these.

Jesus told His disciples, "I have overcome the world." (in John 16:33) So, this means Jesus has already overcome Satan who is ruling this evil world. But we can see how this evil world is still going. So, I think Jesus means that in Him He has overcome howsoever the world would try to get the better of Him. And we, in ourselves, can become strong in Jesus so this evil world can not get the better of us.

You might be interested to learn that Christianity shares many features with other religions and mythologies - the god sacrifice, the virgin birth, resurrection, prophecies.... etc.
