Background: Siegfried was the son of an Imperial Lt. and was destined to follow in his father's footsteps. His father was a Tie pilot, not a jedi, and was shot down by a rebel flying ace. Siegfried discovered that he had the power of the force when he was in the Imperial Academy and kept it a secret until he graduated, when Lord Vader made trained him in the ways of the dark side. He is a novice Tie pilot, and prefers to fight with a lightsabre. He is also an excellent marksman, but is of average strength physically and in the force.
Shortly after his father died, when Siegfried was 5, his mother, Miranda Kalek Dactus, introduced him to Meka Boyd, the daughter of Miranda and Johann Dactus' best friends. Meka's bright and cheerful demeanor complimented the shy and introverted young Siegfried, and although he was led against his will into many a frightening, dangerous adventure, the two were inseperable. By the time they hit their teenage years, it became clear to everyone what they had known for a long time. They were madly in love with eachother. However, to put an end to a happy childhood, Meka was going off to become a Jedi, while Siegfried was following his dream of going to the Imperial Academy on their homeworld of Coruscant, and become a TIE pilot, like his father.
During Siegfried's service in the Empire, he was tainted by Vader and the Dark Side and became an evil, cold hearted man. He was used to capture and enslave Jedi and bring down their temples, and ended up having to hurt Meka, who stood to resist him. He knocked her out with the metal hand, which replaced his left hand, and gave her amnesia. She was broken out in a jail break, so Siegfried never knew what became of her.
A bounty hunter named Zara Tarynth eventually guilt tripped Siegfried into leaving the Empire, quite literally. She helped him to realize the evil that was in the instituion his father once fought for, and abandoned the cause, following Zara around the galaxy after rescuing her from an Imperial sadist.
Siegfried eventually adopted Sira, a young jedi girl whom he had lost his hand trying to kill in his days in the Empire, as his own daughter, and with Sira and Zara, went to Naboo on a mission to rescue a group of orphans from a fate that only the secretive Zara seemed to know about. It was on Naboo that he found the amnesiac who was once his childhood sweetheart. After learning of her tragic trials since they were seperated, and helping her regain pieces of her memory, Siegfried took a misled romantic interest in Zara Tarynth. Meka was heartbroken, and tried to get another bounty hunter, her tormentor and friend, to give her amnesia again. Instead, it gave her back full recollection of her past. Siegfried learned the errors of his ways quite quickly, and returned Meka, pleading for her forgiveness. Much to his surprise, he was welcomed back with a warm embrace and soft kiss, and from then on, the two were together again, there to face the trials of the galaxy as one.

Due to the life support aparatus in his TIE pilot uniform, he was able to survive long enough to be taken captive by the Rebel Alliance, and escaped after a gruleing jail break at the end of a 20 year stay. He was found in a damaged A-wing, by none other than Siegfried himself.
