I'm now on my second minor physical ailment since the first of the year, and this one is a doozy. The first day of it felt like my head was on fire. Ironically, dunking my head in cold water actually helped. I think my sinuses were just swollen and I don’t have the dreaded meningitis.

Still, I’m coughing pretty badly and my throat still feels like someone is dousing it with fire. Certain muscles are now sore from all the coughing. Please just appeal to the Throne of Grace on my behalf, for protection from further illnesses and wisdom about whether or not I should go to the doctor. I’m tired of being sick. Usually I’m strong and healthy.

Father God, you see this need, she is suffering with illness again. Please protect her from further illness and bring relief in this time. Please give her wisdom on what to do about the situation. Thank you God, in Jesus' name, amen.

The statement to go to the doctor was a good one. The doc put me on some meds to deal with the fact that this virus that has invaded my sinuses is coughing me into pain and exhaustion. Fortunately this is isn't bronchitis, flu, or Covid despite the utter nastiness of the symptoms. Even the pharmacist took pity on me when she saw how badly I was convulsing around. Fortunately, the stronger stuff is working and I'm feeling better already.

Sickness is Satan's primary pet attack for me whenever I start a new ministry that I really want to do, and I am getting tired of it. Next time I am not toughing it out or resorting to home remedies, I am getting to the doctor and filing a prayer request immediately. Time to fight back.

Yes see a doctor. There are all sorts of viruses and diseases around today. Remember that physical illness can affect your mental and spiritual state. They all need to be kept healthy. Though it is the spiritual that we can turn to to overcome when we are down and suffering.

But God wants us to use doctors including for mental health. Even a Chemist or Drug store may have something for sinus relief. I suffer from this and basically this is like a pathogen in your body that causes inflamation. I always say when I get allergies that I want to get the pathogen out of my body as its an alien infection lol.

That may mean finding the source. For me its pollen and dust but can even be mold and dampness in a house. But it also could be a problem with the sinuses itself that need correcting. Thats why its wise to see a doctor if its ongoing. But I will pray for you brother that you can get through this with Gods help.
