  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, this is exactly what it is... a thread to discuss musical acts (Christian and secular, and varying genres) comprised of siblings, as well as post their music. I'm not sure if this thread has been done or not, but it can't hurt. The world of music is so large that there is no way we can explore it all during this lifetime, so I have no reason to doubt that there are a lot of musical sibling acts to be found, some currently popular, some legendary, and some yet to be discovered.

The idea for this thread came about while listening to the Carpenters (and before that Donny and Marie Osmond). I grew up around a variety of music and have been influenced by it at a very early age. Therefore, even though I am in my mid-40s, I remember hearing a lot of their music. I'm inclined to believe that they are among some of the first that come to mind when sibling musical acts are mentioned (though I could be mistaken). So... that's what I'll start this thread with - the legendary Carpenters!
