I have a three year old daughter, and I never knew how often I used the word “stupid” until someone at her school told her that stupid is a bad word. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard, “Daddy, we don’t say ‘stupid,’” Well I am now conditioned to say the word “silly” or “dumb,” “Shut up” is another word or phrase that my daughter says is bad and we don’t say it. But sometimes that just might be the best advice we could give ourselves. The words of our mouth have great effect on those around us. Just the simplest of phrase, said with no harm in mind can bring great consequence to us. If we are going to walk on the path that has light and leads to more light, then we have got to get a reign on the words of our mouth and ensure they are edifying and always proper.
