[I heard this at church today.]

An elementary school class was having show and tell one day.

The first child stood up and said, "I am Muslim, and here is my prayer mat."

The second child stood up and said, "I am Jewish, and here is my star of david."

The third child stood up and said, "I am Catholic, and here is my rosary."

The fourth child stood up and said, "I am Christian, and here's my casserole dish!"

I grew up in a southern Baptist church and at least once or twice a month there was some sort of pot luck dinner after church services. This was some what common among the other Baptist, or at least it use to be. That is what the joke is poking fun at.

Personally I thought it was funny.

Haha, it isn't too apparent at my church, but when we went up to middle northern wisconson on a mission trip, we had casserole/hot dishes just about every day. I greatly appreciated the fact that they were feeding us, but you get tired of those things pretty quickly.
