Should this bother me?

It's so weird to get worked up about a congratulations on your marriage and first child just because it came from an ex. I would think that is the ultimate closure.

Hi Taryn, I don't think you need to worry about it. Some would say the contact is inappropriate, but I don't personally think so. Either way, I wouldn't worry about an e-mail. One thing is, if a person really wants to be unfaithful, worrying about what they are saying or where they are going will not stop it. Just serve Christ together with your husband. Do your best to be a godly wife.

Yes.- If that's truly the extent of it and he showed you the email, it's way over reacting, perhaps a glimpse into underlying jealousy issues.
